Six of the top Open trainers from last year will do battle here at Monmore for the coveted Judgment Night trophy, now named in honour of the former Premier Greyhound Racing chair Lord David Lipsey. The handlers scheduled to participate in the six-race, six-trainer shootout are Mark Wallis, Kevin Hutton, Maxine Locke, Monmore’s own Nathan Hunt, Tom Heilbron and Paul Young.
